Meeting with PC Phil Moores about the disturbance of the motor cyclist on Little Paxton footpath and then running up the Rolls Royce after Daniel arrived.
Diana let me lay in for quite a while this morning and I was horrified to see it was 8.00am by the time I woke up. I pulled some clothes on over my pyjamas and then took out Sam's food and gave him a walk before joining the girls for breakfast. A rush to get showered, shaved and dressed before the arrival of the community policeman, PC Phil Moores. He was investigating my complaint about the behaviour of the youths who were riding on the footpath, and we walked over to 69 Gordon Road together hoping to find the youth in so that I could identify him.

He was not there, but we spoke to the neighbours who were very pleased to see that we were doing something about it. One is an elderly woman, suffering greatly with a heart complaint, and the other is a woman with a crippled husband who also needs oxygen in the night. Home to soon find that Daniel had arrived, so I chatted to him for a while. The twit had left his suit in Norwich, but he can probably find some suitable things to wear. He has a new girlfriend, Dawn, who he met at the skating rink. He has met her several times for skating but is now taking her out for the first time.
I got him to help me with the Rolls Royce after lunch. I re-started it and found it was working perfectly so I hoovered the inside, sponged the outside with car shampoo, rinsed and leathered it and then got him to help me clean the chrome-work. It looked very nice by the time I had finished. Had long walks with the dog today. This morning around the gravel pits and then this evening over to the common with Debbie. We watched the radio control aeroplanes and these fascinated Debbie.
Sam had to sit for a long while, so we gave him a good run round afterwards. It was pouring with rain overnight and then started drizzly first thing this morning but later the rain stopped, the sun came out and it was quite warm. I called Freda this evening to warn her of the closure of the A45 near Newmarket due to bridge-strengthening works. It had delayed Daniel by an hour today and that would be disastrous for the funeral guests tomorrow.
