Three more walks with Sam on Paperwork and Office Day gloriously mild and warm day with Spring around the corner.
Also inside working away at my affairs and getting the administration in order ahead of the U.S. trip as my cold was coming on badly and I had to take a headache tablet later.

It was a gloriously mild and warm day - quite spring-like. Apart from walking the dog three times as usual, I spent a lot of today working away at my affairs and getting the administration in order ahead of the U.S. trip. Diana made us a nice healthy lunch of fresh soup, organic bread and pie and ice cream to follow. The gardener was working away at shredding all of the garden rubbish, but I left him to it; having no desire to be distracted into long social discourse. Many arrangements put into train but more still to make. A conveyancing solicitor was chosen and potential letting agents and valuers circulated.

I spent quite some time with Sam, quartering a field and giving him the run of the countryside but it remains difficult to do this and keep close control of him when needed at the same time. He was quite nervous during his evening run, and I find that his lessons learnt one week are soon forgotten the next. The end of the fishing season is now upon us and the hordes of anglers that were out this weekend are now gone and reconciled to taking a break until June. I realised that my cold was coming on badly and I had to take a headache tablet later. Ended the day with Diana watching an interesting film on TV about a group of ladies taking a holiday at a romantic and serene Italian villa which was quite good.
