Letting the first of our new trust properties at 14 Regents Close, Eaton Socon.

Making telephone calls in connection with buying and letting 14 Regents Close, the first of several investment properties and starting the ending the day with Sam, who is coming on well apart from his disgusting scavenging habit.

Later, collecting foreign currency for our forthcoming US holiday. The weather now is a mixture of hot sun and cold wind so as to make my present chest infection very much worse

Today was a bit like old times as I was making telephone calls and having meetings in connection with buying and letting the first of our new trust properties at 14 Regents Close, Eaton Socon. It was funny to see how young the estate and letting agent personnel were and how easily I was able to negotiate to my satisfaction. Also, to see how my reputation proceeded me so that everyone in business would like to have me as a client. By entering the property market so close to home, I am undoubtedly getting better terms for that reason but there again I suppose that I am one of the very few people around with any money left in this recession!

However, I started and ended the day with Sam. He is getting quite biddable and obedient but still has this very difficult habit of eating his own excrement (and that of any other dog if allowed to do so) and having the runs as a result of having too much through him. I was advised that this was probably due to lack of certain minerals but as I now give him four vitamin tablets and a charcoal biscuit a day this cannot be. If I feed him as much as he wants, he gets the runs and if I do not, he is forever scavenging! I do not know what to do for the best. I was annoyed today to see a youngster motorcycling along the Hayling Footpath who I stopped and who then continued to do so even after I had warned him.

My days' management started with me writing letters of appointment and of regret for the solicitors and then the surveyors and letting agents after I had visited PPMS by arrangement and decided to appoint them. I had extracted the list of services that all of the property management companies offered and then typed them into a schedule and agreed all of them with a single agent at the lowest price. I also collected our foreign currency in dollars for our US holiday and some extra money in Sterling as well before having an evening working on my administration again. The weather now is a mixture of hot sun and cold wind so as to make my present chest infection very much worse as you just cannot get comfortable without feeling too hot or cold.
