On a much milder and dryer with the sunshine, reconciling my bank and building society accounts and then rushing off to St Neots for some transactions before reviewing some property purchase and development.
Sam was fazed by Nigel’s dogs and now has to face those at tomorrows GSP training sessions.
A rush this morning to reconcile my bank and building society accounts and then to drive into St Neots to undertake some transactions. I drove via Almond Road to see a potential property investment and was quite impressed and so collected the details and arranged to see it later. A semi-detached house somewhat the worse for repair, it had been bought from the local authority and then proved too much expense for the new owner who had lost it by repossession. It was some £12,000 below the market price but needing much of that spending on it but would still appear to be a good investment.

Walking Sam and working on tiresome paperwork as Daniel arrives with friends Gary and Jason. The evening with Di at the Bedford cinema watching the far too long film Dracula
Although the weather turned milder during the day, it started drearily and cold and so, after taking Sam for his normal walk, I lit a log fire in my office and settled down to do some paperwork. I always find the weight of paperwork somewhat depressing and lately it has been quite difficult to do as well due to the delays allowed to accumulate whilst I was away in Norfolk building The Harnser. I edited and archived my journal for February and then tackled the outstanding tax and financial affairs.

After walking an excitable Sam, who was now 48lbs and still growing. I spent the morning updating Wayplan with Steve and then to Ekins in Huntingdon later to hear of their struggles with Harnser planning.
I was very tired and had to come to breakfast in my night things and get showered and shaved afterwards. A rush to get out with Sam and I was not able to accompany the girls to the bus stop before their school coach arrived. Sam was quite good today but is still very puppyish when around people and other dogs. I let him carry a collared dove that I had shot today and he kept seeking out bird remains thereafter and bringing them back to me! He just finds the gardener and other visitors too exciting a prospect to ignore when they call.

On another chilly day with rain in the air, I found Della much more willing to go to school and not eyelash plucking so much. Walking Sam in the gravel pits and training him to dummy launch retrieves as I heard from David Winser with an invitation to join a GSPA training session on Sunday.
I expressed my concern to Nigel about the balance of evidence in his insurance fraud case
The same routine and weather as yesterday morning and it was reassuring to see how willingly Della now goes to the bus-stop with me and Sam taking her. Her eyelashes are growing well but the eyebrows seem to take much longer. I took Sam for a longer walk and stalk around the gravel pits, investigating the positions of the muntjac and looking for signs of them. There were plenty of tracks and small trees marked for territory but no sign of the deer themselves. I am beginning to realise just how good the habitat is there with interlinked islands and thickets even though many locals walk their dogs around all the time.
