Debating the option for replacing my aging Range Rover and viewing the latest LSE and the lower cost Discovery as another option on the eve of my departure to Norfolk.
I gave Sam two very good walks and quite settled him to the cattle that are occupying St Neots Common
I was so keen to get the matter of my car replacement settled before leaving Paxton and spent most of the day on it. This morning I drove over to Kempston to have a demonstration of the latest Range Rover LSE with its automatic ride levelling, traction and braking and was quite impressed with only the huge cost the limiting factor. The car was about £40,000 with only £7000 to come back on my beloved wagon. I had doubts about this and then pursued another line of enquiry with their sister company in Cambridge. I looked at the lower cost Discovery, a vehicle built by the same company, Land Rover, but to a lower budget. A nearly-new equivalent car would be half the cost, but with only £5000 back on our old vehicle.

I made a spot decision to buy one of particularly-good value and then came home to find Diana somewhat disappointed by my choice. After more agonising, I was still not sure what to do as they had the new Range Rover LSE in the very colour and build that we wanted in stock and we could change again! The trouble is that we would be facing depreciation costs alone of £5000-£7000 on this which seems far too much. We may call by this Cambridge showroom tomorrow to have another look. Apart from all this, I gave Sam two very good walks and quite settled him to the cattle that are occupying St Neots Common. Tried progressing some other things today without success. Quite a fine day but showery and unsettled.
