More than 40 years, told day by day
Shopping in Norwich for clothes to keep at Wiggly’s and then another evening shooting many rabbits and hares with Jim before home to Paxton at midnight and, after drying off and cleaning my rifle, got to bed soon after.
Di was again unable to do her outside work today because of the rain and so went to Bedford instead and then had Chrisula and family over for tea.
I had intended to get out into the garden to do some outside work, but the night had been very wet and miserable and so, having walked Sam and settled him down, I drove into Norwich instead and did some shopping.

Archiving my journal for June and then travelling to Norfolk on a rainy day and calling in at Jim’s on the way evidently looking tired and drawn "with the worries of the world".
Then overcoming the setback of losing the keys for Harnser by collecting those of Jack.
The morning writing up my journal and finishing off the archive for June.

Paperwork day as Diana visits Cambridge as Wiggly’s stolen car and illness threatened arrangements with her and Nigel’s date Ann.

Working at home, ordering shirts from Garstang’s, shopping for pet foods in Peterborugh and then enjoying lunch at Kentucky Fried Chicken for an indulgent change.
Then home to watch TV sport and finalise tomorrow's arrangements with Nigel and Wiggly. Chancellor Clarke announced a 0.4% increase in interest rates today in the face of hostility
I was very tired when woken with my morning tea, even though I had slept quite well, and could have done with a few hours more sleep.

Norfolk to Paxton and more time with Wiggly and I took Sam for a good run around the Crabbet’s Marsh Road and then we left for Winterton and watched the sea before getting some refreshments and setting off home.
After such a dream night, we spent the first part of the day packing up. We had a look up in the old Heronshaw building and brought out the oak gate-leg table and packed it as Wiggly had a good use for it.

Leaving early for Norfolk collecting Wiggly and her things from Eynesbury and to the five-ways roundabout and a chance to exercise Sam before having a mug of tea and continuing to Norwich.
I bought Wiggly some Lingerie and saw Norwich draw with Arsenal at Carrow Road the rain coming down in torrents making playing conditions difficult. A nice meal in the Hong Kong Restaurant and afterwards our mutual pleasure to end the day.
My objective was to leave before 8.00am and so Diana was good enough to get up at 6.00am as usual and to bring me my morning tea soon after.
