The day almost entirely spent generating the LibDem FOCUS election copy for five candidates in Eaton Socon and three in Priory Park which was quite a business and so I had Sally, Percy and Derek helping me in the end. This was interrupted by me attending a HDC Contract Services Committee, which was a complete waste of time.

I was up at a reasonable time but took breakfast and saw the girls off to school before settling down to my work. I had designed the town council election leaflets as having an election story on the front page, the biographies of the candidates across the centre pages and the "Dear Neighbour" letters on the back. This, supplemented with a two-sided District Council insert in the middle. To produce this for five candidates in Eaton Socon and three in Priory Park was quite a business. In the evening, I was getting increasingly-anxious about finishing the task off and so had Sally, Percy and Derek helping me.

The trouble was that I had an HDC Contract Services Committee this evening and had to break off in the middle of the process and race off to Huntingdon. The meeting was a dead loss, in fact, and the whole future of that committee is under review which made the loss of time even more galling. The trouble was that the photo sessions had been flawed and we were lacking quality pictures to use in the leaflet and I still had to get Percy to help me with the order forms and indexing of photos which took until well after midnight.
