Concerned about Debbie and her uncomfortable braces and then lazily watching some cricket and rugby on TV before managing some work on the latest FOCUS editions despite being very tired. I heard from Mum today who was keen to see the family again as it has been some time since we managed a visit.
Debbie survived the night with her new braces but was again sorry for herself this morning. I was full of compassion, but Diana insisted that she go to school for the half day as it was for the best so that she would not be so worried about Monday. I was rather lazy this morning, watching the Indian innings in the World Cup match against England in an exciting match that England managed to win narrowly. Lunch and then Di took Debbie to Bedford to do some shopping. In particular, Debbie needed another jumper, only owning one (according to her, though I think that she must have more).

Daniel watched a TV film, and I tried some work but spent most of the time in the playroom watching a Rugby League Challenge Cup Final. Di was back a bit late for making tea but I used the time to update this last two day's journal with Della sitting on my desk fascinated. Very tired at the end of this evening after working on some FOCUS copy with Derek Giles and soon to bed and to sleep. Heard from Mum today who was keen to see the family again as it has been some time since we managed a visit.
