Virtually this whole fine, dry but breezy day working on my late Mum’s estate arrangements with calls, messages and faxes as we get many acceptances from invitations for what promised to be a very well-attended funeral.
Some time with Sam who was making good progress with his training and I hope to be able to take him for his second pointer club session on Sunday. John Elwell had repaired the vandalised style properly and protected the wood with a metal plate
Just about the whole day attending to my late mother's arrangements during which I telephoned, faxed and wrote to numerous contacts about all manner of matters. We had quite a few telephone calls replying to the funeral notices and they were just about all accepting the invitations so that there should be a good turnout to see Mum off. The Hunts Post also came out today and our announcement was safely included. I also had time to tend to the girls on their second day back at school and give Sam two good long runs. He is making good progress with his training and I hope to be able to take him for his second pointer club training session on Sunday.

Arranged to collect my rifles tomorrow and Nigel is to telephone me before 9.00am to let me know if he will be able to join me. Another fine and dry day but with more wind and cloud so that it looks as if we will be having some rain soon. John Elwell had repaired the vandalised style properly and protected the wood with a metal plate and so I hope that will keep the errant motorcyclists at bay.
