On a milder and windy day, I was training Sam to be less excited by contact and be steadier to people and he was also following muntjac tracks in the gravel pits. Di and I are both slimming with some success and Della has gone to school all right for the last couple of days but is still tetchy.
A quiet day of wind and mild temperatures that saw me out a lot with Sam. I introduced him to Diana at length as he is generally unsteady in the presence of people and is inclined to jump up. I think that this is because he is kept in a kennel yet loves humans and is too excited when they approach. One of my walks with him was back to the gravel pits where I had seen what I thought was Muntjac Deer tracks and, sure enough, I was able to see even more today.

Bill was working at The Hayling View creosoting the large shed as an overdue job. Diana was at her slimming club meeting and was pleased to report that she was on target for her weight loss in time for the U.S. trip. I have lost a few pounds and am back to 14st, but still need to lose another seven if I am to be comfortable. Some time on my forestry tax affairs but this still left me much to do and so I need another day at it. Della has gone to school all right for the last couple of days but is still tetchy.
