Walking Sam on a bright and sunny morning and fine night each side of a Wroxham Barns lunch and Cromer cinema evening visit.
The night went quite well as we settled down into Harnser and I was the first up on a bright and sunny morning. Washed, shaved and dressed and then out to feed Sam and take him out for a walk. He was quite good considering that he had not been back to Ropes Hill Dyke for at least a month. He had not messed his run and, what is more, he still waited long enough to get to the remote ditches in the dyke so that I did not have to clear up after him at all. Back to Harnser for breakfast with the others and then we had a relaxing start to the day before going out. I treated Mum and Dad's old deck chairs with woodworm fluid, and we sat on them and had morning coffee before driving out to Wroxham to do some shopping.

Roys was open and we bought some garden tools and also a retractable clothesline whilst the girls spent time in the toy and book department. Off to Wroxham Barns where we enjoyed a nice Sunday lunch. It had become quite windy but the girls still enjoyed playing on the old fairground equipment with the rocking swing their favourite ride. Back to Ropes Hill Dyke where we relaxed for a while, had afternoon tea, and then I installed Diana's clothes line and finished mowing the sparse lawns. These are still trying to grow sufficient grass amongst the weeds to justify their name. Teatime and then another long run for Sam. He had spent most of the day in his run but Della had been playing with him and entertaining him for some of the time. I can now trust him to come when called and he is developing quite well. All off again this evening and over to Cromer where we saw and enjoyed a family film called "Cop and a Half" which was all about a small boy trying to be a policeman and enact his lifetime wish. We arrived a little early which gave the family the chance to see the sea. In fact, the girls ran down to the beach and then up to the cliff-top again. Back at dusk and then my journal and to bed.
