I felt really miserable today and very sorry for myself as I had come down with a head cold and runny nose. I had little enthusiasm to take Sam out for his two walks but just about made it. He was quite good as I concentrated on obedience, jumping and quartering but then I left the retrieving alone for once.

There was still that icy wind and so I gave Sam a rest from the water. Daniel was up early today and off after breakfast with his friends to take his car back to the dealer in Norfolk to see about the automatic transmission.
