After staying in Motel 6, we were off to Universal Studios

After staying in Motel 6, we were off to Universal Studios where we saw The Flintstones, The Wild West, The Animal Actors and The Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue and also enjoyed the Back to the Future ride, the ET Adventure and Backdraft. This as I checked out my pocket computer connection

We all woke up very early with our bodies still on British time and temperature cycles so feeling quite chilly.

In fact as dawn came we could see the weather was sunny and the temperatures moderate so that we were in for a good day.

I had time to try and resolve my telephone access and soon managed to upgrade my British Telecom Credit Card to be able to make direct and operator credit calls so that I could dial out through the hotel's 1-800 freephone to make my connections.

The only trouble was that my pocket computer and modem could not handle the long dialling strings and yet did not like the lack of a dialling tone when I helped it out.

I abandoned the task of computer connection and got bathed and dressed and we still got out in time for the opening of Coco's where we had a nice breakfast. We had just booked into Motel 6 for the night and wondered about staying elsewhere for the rest of the week but it seemed all right.

Away early again by car to Universal Studios, situated high above Los Angeles in the Hollywood Hills. It was breezier up there and a little chilly but fine enough for us to enjoy the Tram Tour and attractions in the Studio and Entertainment centres.

The entertainments we saw were The Flintstones, The Wild West, The Animal Actors and The Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue and also enjoyed the Back to the Future ride, the ET Adventure and Backdraft. It got quite chilly as the increased later in the day and we were relieved to go back to the car and drive back to Motel 6.

Di and the girls got undressed and went almost straight to bed but I sat up and tried all sorts of combinations of things until I finally got the ReadCIX OLR to log in to the system and get my Email and there was quite a bit from Wiggly, Mark Rainer and my own copy letters. Then to bed quite satisfied with my efforts.
