Fitting all of the door-stop mouldings to the cupboard and door frames

Back to building and decorating after struggling to finally settling Sam down. Commission the day-time immersion heater and, later, fitting all of the door-stop mouldings to the cupboard and door frames.

It turned cold today in contrast to the wind and rain that started this and others lately. I was up at 6.30am and got myself ready and needed to as Sam started up half an hour later. I lost control of him at first, realising later that I had not exercised him enough and given him the attention he needed so that when I put him back in the kennel he would not settle down. In exasperation, I tried smacking him with a rolled-up magazine to no avail and felt that this was a mistake afterwards. After more time, he settled down and I got on with some painting; managing to complete the emulsion-painting of all of the coving that is fixed throughout the ground floor of The Harnser.

During another car trip out, I definitely spotted Greylag geese this time - some twenty or so of them - and bought another couple of pounds of apples from the farm greengrocery. Time also to commission the day-time immersion heater, needed by the decorator for applying the vinyl wallpaper and then, this evening, fitted all of the door-stop mouldings to the cupboard and door frames. Another late night after leaving the decorator with a key for access over the next few days.
