A fine and sunny day away from the family as they visit the Pleasurewood Hills theme park and I tend to Sam and work on fitting out the Harnser Store Cupboard.
Critics were screaming for the resignation of England football manager, Graham Taylor
Sam had another good night and let me sleep in again this morning. Poor Diana did not sleep so well and complained of me snoring, Della coughing and Debbie acting out vivid dreams! A long walk with Sam around the private roads and then into Horning to get a paper and some milk. Back in time for breakfast at which it was agreed that I would stay at Horning whilst Diana took the girls to Pleasurewood Hills, the "American-style" theme park close to Lowestoft. It turned out to be a warm and sunny day which let them enjoy the experience and let me get on.

I first found and fitted a catch for my folding door and also fitted all three of the hinges properly to ensure it opened and shut. Then I started wallpapering the storage cupboard with lining paper and this took just about all of the afternoon. I had two visitors today - Jack dropped round and we chatted a while, and then Daniel came later, expecting to see the girls and train them how to use some new computer games. He took his final degree examination today, which went well, and has now finished work and must await the results. He was also flapping around looking for his sleeping bag and wondering how to accommodate all of the guests he was intending to invite to an-end-of-term party. Debbie took Sam for his evening walk so that I could work on, finish my papering and fit some vinyl to the floor. The storeroom has been transformed and just needs shelves to be an effective storage space.
I listened to start of the first England vs Australia cricket test match on the radio today. The Aussies got off to a flying start and then the England bowlers struck back to take five wickets on this first day. The critics are screaming for the resignation of England football manager, Graham Taylor, and for once I agree with them. I received my documents back from Marshalls of Cambridge today and the news from Land Rover House, Mann Egerton, is that our new Discovery could be ready tomorrow if the winch arrives! Poor Diana is feeling unwell with a tummy ache worried over Della (who has resumed plucking her eyelashes) and Debbie (her hay fever and dreams). I think that she missed my helping hand today and finds them a bit much.
