John Major is again telling the cabinet that the Euro-arguments have to stop but Michael Portillo and Keith Clarke are involved and each claim to be expressing cabinet policy. His job is almost impossible until he has an unambiguous policy rather than a fudge.
The old Poll Tax arrears are being written off by local authorities and, in another Local Authority revolt, School Governors in Warwick have met and agreed to set illegally high budgets to be able to implement the teachers’ 2.5% pay rise.
A slow start to the day as first I stayed in bed a while and updated yesterday's journal. Too late down to join the girls for the last walk to the bus stop of this Half Term but at least Sam got a good walk.
To my office for the day where I buckled down to finish off my St Ives area LibDem interim report and agreed its content with Percy before copying everything for the meeting tonight.

I eventually altered a few words on my letter to all members and brief to win their endorsement and they went on to discuss plans for the forthcoming election and distributing FOCUS to St Ives South Ward.
Back to Eynesbury to see Wiggly after, as arranged, but could only get there at 11.15pm! She was still pleased to see me and, even though she got in a paddy when I spent more time on her computer.
I sorted her out, got her in bed, petted her to a great result and then enjoyed my own climax before we had Bournevita, banana and then parted affectionately for our few days of separation.
Not home until after 1.00am when I found that my neighbour's garden fence had been blown down and had made Sam bark all evening, upsetting Diana! At least he was settled now after the stormy winds had moderated and the fence ended up blown over entirely.
