After the school and dog run on a cold, windy and showery day, a trip with Diana to Cambridge to see her parents for coffee and then out with Diana again to the Show-case Cinema in Peterborough to see a sleazy Sharon Tate film called "Sliver".
Now Israel are making their peace terms with Jordan and amazing athletics records set by Chinese women athletes at their national games trigger suspicions of drug abuse
Another cold, windy and showery day that was unpleasant to be out in. Up as usual to exercise the dog and see the girls off to school and still Sam does not come back from the company of other dogs despite being a year old! A rush back to the chores in the absence of the gardener (and to find that the swimming pool algae was being most stubborn) and then to get ready to accompany Diana to Cambridge for a shopping trip and to see her parents for coffee. They were well and planning their trip next week to their Spanish villa for a fortnight.

In front of hundreds of dignitaries on the White House lawn in Washington, the historic Israel/Palestine Peace ceremony signed by Yassar Arafat and Monarchin Begin.
A run at home on Sam's birthday as I had compete obedience. This evening, Della off to Brownies for the first time without Diana being a helper.
It was the memorable day when, in front of hundreds of dignitaries on the White House lawn in Washington, the Israeli and Palestinian leaders traded speeches and signatures instead of bullets and bombs. Despite the condemnation of their extreme colleagues the Yassar Arafat and Monarchin Begin were brave enough to go through with it and shook hands publicly as well.

A more relaxing day starting fine and turning wet after I had walked Sam and carried on clearing the gutters and the garage.
Watching the exciting Italian Grand Prix at Monza where Daiman Hill wins his third race in succession and Blackburn Rover's win over Liverpool televised live in Sky Sports
A day that started fine and sunny but ended up pouring wet. I was the first up as the rest of the family lay in but then, after washing, I took a little time to take advantage of Diana still being in bed before slipping out to my "other love". A good run with Sam this morning as the other dog-walkers do not get up quite so early. He had recovered from his troubles of yesterday and was his old self. All the chores to do after breakfast and then the rest of the gutters and down pipes to clear, working on the ground floor down-pipes this time.

Saturday 11th September 1993 Just Debbie for the school bus this morning with Sam on a fine and sunny today and then to the gravel pits with Della to see some of Sam's long-distance water retrieves, which she admired.
A visit by my new pool supplier this afternoon with more supplies for my cloudy pool. Then, Hayling View chores for me and hockey blow for Debbie.
With Diana to the Peterborough Show-Case Cinema to see "The Firm" this evening The historic step of mutual recognition between Israel and the P.L.O. was sealed today.
A small amount of extra sleep this morning as Debbie's school bus went a little later. Della had no school today and joined me for Sam's walk with the aim of getting her Saturday sweets from the local shop. My problem was that, having been feeding Sam more biscuit in his meals, this had played a strange trick on his digestive system and he kept on "laying" round "bombs" without his normal control which was rather embarrassing as we walked around our neighbourhood! Via the bus stop, local shop and then to the gravel pits where I entertained Della with some of Sam's long-distance water retrieves, which she admired.
