Getting a hard disk extension as Daniel's computer birthday present for his Apple Mac and progressing our Eaton Socon campaign whilst making light of some poor and unsubstantiated Tory Election Complaints
I was tired after a late night and was slow to the breakfast table, but I still got there in time to see Debbie off to school. I worked on my computer this morning, updating yesterday's canvas results, and printing out the new prediction and then Daniel came in and we made several phone calls to order his hard disk drive expansion. This was his birthday present to expand his MAC at college to be more useful.

A bit of a lay in this morning after several late nights, washing my hair, as well as showering and shaving, before dressing for breakfast and there was only Della left when I came down. Some time showing new gardener Bill how to vacuum the pond after which I spent time analysing the positive canvassing results by computer.
Then my current routine of attending Eaton Socon at the beginning and end of the evening and this time sandwiched a Little Paxton Parish Council Leisure and Amenities meeting in between where I got £7,500 towards a new Village Hall extension and several other things agreed.
I slept on a little this morning after having had several late nights in a row. I washed my hair, as well as showering and shaving, before dressing for breakfast and there was only Della left when I came down. I attended to my domestic tasks first thing; firstly my fish and plants, and then the swimming pool. The skimmer had been stopped by the thermometer washing down it again and so the debris had fallen to the bottom. I had to clean it out again, but this did give me the chance of showing Bill how the job was done and I hope that he will be able to take over most of the job next week and save me the time.

The weather was cold weather for election campaigning and also for my work outside on my swimming pool and other chores first thing. I was keying in the Eaton Socon canvassing returns and organising Derek’s campaign before I saw him off to his Town Council meeting before leaving to go to my own Southoe Annual Meeting and the latter went well.
The "UK idea" for "Safe havens" for Kurds in Iraq is being taken up by the US and French who, together with the UK, will police the areas but it is despite the contrary advice of the UN
Another cold morning as it had been chilly again yesterday and quite unbearable during the evening canvassing session. I tended the conservatory and then spent a couple of hours on the swimming pool, sweeping round the edges, vacuuming out the debris and then checking the chemical levels. I was quite chilled as a result of all this and had a rest with a couple of cups of coffee and watched the end of a TV programme before resuming my office to catch up on this last couple of days' journal. During the rest of the day-time, I was keying in the Eaton Socon canvass results so far and just about finished this by tea time.

After achieving some election news coverage and checking with my gardener, Percy arrived and keyed in some canvassing data which went well and looked good. Off to Eaton Socon this evening before and after a very successful Little Paxton Village Hall AGM to get more canvassers out and working well.
The US, UK and France were setting up refugee camps inside Northern Iraq for the displaced Kurds under Allied military "protection"
I had taken a telephone call from a journalist last night and so sent a fax to her office early this morning, giving details of our Liberal Democrat plans for the local area should we do well in the elections. Then to work in the conservatory and out to see the gardener who I had not spoken to for a few days. He is getting on well enough but has caught up with the basic gardening jobs and I have now briefed him on the projects that can keep him going. Percy arrived by prior arrangement and we together keyed in the initial canvass data from Eaton Socon for which the computer worked quite well. We broke off for lunch and he came back afterwards so that we had completed about two-thirds by the time we had to break off again.
