Breakfast and a walk with Sam after which I checked the weather on a showery day and updated the ship’s manuals.
Then the cruise from the Waveney Inn to Beccles with the crew all doing chores and me noting a hot water system fault.
To bed rather tired this evening from a combination of shopping walks, boat chores and dog exercising
Another good night as Sam behaved himself and was well settled during the night; only making a fuss when he could smell me preparing his meal. It rained again overnight and then this morning when I was due to take him for a walk, but we managed. Breakfast and then I relaxed for a while, tuning into weather forecasts and updating the ships operations manuals. I managed to get all of the systems working and ascertained that the weather will be unsuitable for cruising up to Yarmouth for a few days. We heard from Daniel yesterday and again this morning, but he has not yet received the money that I posted off to him yesterday.

Continuing our cruise from Stokesby across Breydon Water to and mooring at Burgh Castle to walk and view the Saint Peter & Saint Paul Church. Then on under St Olaves Bridge, Somerleyton Swing Bridge to stop at the Waveney Inn for the night.
A good night in Stokesby as Sam slept and settled well and we all enjoyed the berths. I finished updating the reminder of my charts for latest alterations which gives me a full set for The Humber to Dover; our largest possible cruising range. Diana was up with the automatic central heating and, after she made me a cup of tea, I washed, shaved and then went out to feed and walk Sam. Breakfast of fine croissants and then we set off; me ensuring that all of the children played their part in the work needed on board.

Leaving Horning on a cold and showery today for our boating holiday until weather brightened up for a while and so I turned into Salhouse Broad and secured a good mooring by the staithe in the sunshine.
We then cruised on to stop for the night at Stokesby. The fine drizzle increased and then it then came on to rain properly and we took to our boat for the night.
News of Michael Jackson being investigated for child abuse which, whether it be true or not, still means that I think that he cuts a very pathetic figure with his makeup and cross-dressing.
The weather continued cold and showery today, but there was hope of better weather to come and so we pursued our plans of setting off on the boat. All of the work had been done the day before and so, after I had taken the dog for a walk and once the girls had completed their ablutions, I unmoored, edged out and let the "crew" get on with tidying the boat whilst I set off. Della was first to the helm and I was able to fly the pennants and red ensign and clear up the decks as she did.

As the unseasonably cold and wet weather continued, I walked Sam and then pressure-washed the hull and superstructure of The Paxton Princess waiting to start our cruise and wondered what to do.
By majority vote we opted to go as soon as we were ready and so started loading up the boat. Over to the Horning Tea Shoppe for lunch and then later to The Horning Leisure Centre for tea.
It had been raining again and so we opted to sleep on the boat tonight but to stay in the boathouse so as to use the electric power and the Harnser facilities overnight.
Another day like yesterday - unseasonably cold and raining in spells - and we really did not know what to do about going away on the boat. It has been such a poor summer and we were in Paxton for the only fine weather last week. After Sam's walk and breakfast. I got out the pressure washing machine and, with Della's help in guiding the feed pipe, scrubbed down all of the hull and superstructure of The Paxton Princess. Then, with Debbie's help, I mopped it off to dry and rested over coffee to take stock.
