A wet morning as I caught up with administration and Diana with housework after which Daniel joined us for lunch in the Norwich McDonalds with the City very busy.
Back to walk Sam around Neatishead Hall as we hear the news of wounded children from Yugoslavia being brought for treatment in U.K. hospitals
It was an unusually slow start for us on a wet morning as even Sam was content in his kennel for a while rather than outside getting wet. Out by about 8.30am for a local walk and then, after breakfast, I did some of my necessary administration whilst Diana got on with housework. I called my conveyancing solicitor and agreed some things with her and then settled a lot of bills that needed paying. Daniel got himself ready to leave for Paxton but, as lunchtime approached, I got him to join us for lunch at the McDonalds on the outskirts of Norwich.

On a cooler, breezier and damper day that of late, off to the Pleasurebeach in Great Yarmouth for the day, and home via Lathams of Potter Heigham for afternoon tea and some leisure shopping and Ludham to collect my serviced 9.9HP Mariner outboard motor.
The day promised to be cooler, breezier and damper than of late and so we decided to go to Pleasurebeach and persuaded Daniel to join us. A local run with Sam to start with and then, once we were all loaded up. off to Great Yarmouth, avoiding the temptation to stop on the way. As before, we drove along the seafront and parked outside the far entrance of Pleasurebeach to first get a drink at the cafe there.

The day in Norwich shopping on a dull and drizzly day, enjoying coffee in Jarrold’s and a trip to the library. Daniel returns to Horning without bringing files to apply for the CCTA job and the girls were difficult and unhelpful today.
It promised to be a dull and drizzly day and so we quickly agreed on spending it in Norwich. Early out with Sam before the rain became heavy and the walk down the lane opposite and along to the field path which took me back via the village for a newspaper. The multistorey car park in Norwich and straight to Jarrolds for coffee before Diana shopped with Della and Debbie and I went to the library.

After a dog walk for me and a shopping trip for Diana, we welcomed Sam and Francis Weller and their family visit us at the old Heronshaw and new Harnser before taking them for a river trip in The Paxton Princess and across the river in The Jolly for drinks at The Swan.
I had stayed up late last night and then slept in this morning so it was only when Sam had started wailing plaintively that I stirred and got up to feed and exercise him. I concentrated on obedience work with him on both of his walks today and he was quite good. Diana was off shopping at her new Tesco's supermarket she has found in Blue Boar Lane, Spixworth and I did some more work clearing up the garden, boat-house and shed.
