Taking the family to St James Church for the family service

Exercising Sam across the Mill Meadow and then collecting Debbie from Zoe Bee’s house before taking the family to St James Church for the family service. Then some relaxation in the afternoon for once

The morning routine but this time I was up alone with the rest of the family still in bed and laying in. I took Sam across to the Mill Meadow opposite and controlled him well, despite an absolute invasion of anglers who must have arrived by coach to fish a match. Breakfast on my return. I have been eating a mixture of a new unsalted and unsweetened muesli with a smaller proportion of Jordon's sweetened crunchy cereal and I like this and think that it will be healthier. At least I have reduced my weight to 13st 13lbs in the last couple of weeks.

Once back home, I changed into my clothes for church and then first drove off to fetch Debbie from her friend's house at 10 Stephenson's Court. I was let in and offered a coffee by her hostess, Zoe Bee, who is a small but pretty and pleasant blonde girl and then sat with Tabatha, the third of the triumvirate, who had also spent the night in sleeping bags and duvets placed in the Bee's lounge. Debbie had only just awoken, and it was a while before she was ready, but we got back in time for the family service at St James Church. There was not much of a congregation, but the ever-cheerful Reverend Peter Lewis took us through the hymns and lessons and got the children to join in. It seems that there is often a lesser attendance in January, and we suppose that people think that they have "done their bit" by going to the services around Christmas. Home for a nice lunch of roast beef and Sam's run after - this time to the gravel pits where many anglers and dog-walkers and few deer tracks found. Another relaxing afternoon completed by tea in the lounge and then an evening updating my journal on this last day of January.
