I found the river up again and the road flooded

A largely successful day trip to Norfolk where I found the river up again and the road flooded.

Then to the "One Step Beyond" computer store to buy our new printer and monitor but less joy from the supplier of Daniel's motherboard.

The journey home was tough in the torrential rain and spray and was followed by the even worse task of unloading all my equipment and boxes and tending to Sam in the dark once I got there.

A pouring wet day for me to have to drive to Norfolk and back but I still managed to achieve a lot. It was a particularly dark morning and night which was partly the short day but also the overcast skies. A short walk with Sam after breakfast and then lightly loaded to Norfolk where my first chore was to stop by the Norwich vet and get Sam's card updated for his latest inoculations. Then to the building society to get some cash before my visit to the "One Step Beyond" computer store to buy our new printer and monitor. On to Horning where I found the river up again and the road flooded.

My task was to collect a range of things needed to do some work back at Paxton to save travelling backwards and forwards this winter. I also ran the boat engines and warmed up Harnser a bit before leaving. I kept trying the supplier of Daniel's motherboard as I had these last several days to try and get his faulty one replaced and, to my surprise, eventually got through but they would not help us. I ended up threatening them with legal action for damages and reporting them to VISA and the Trading Standards Officer to no avail.

Back to the computer store in Norwich where I collected the ink cartridge that they had forgotten to give to me and a copy of the software that our recalcitrant supplier had failed to do. The journey home was tough in the torrential rain and spray and was followed by the even worse task of unloading all my equipment and boxes and tending to Sam in the dark once I got there.
