Another sunny and warm day and this one came early as Sam was awake and whining from 7.00am onwards. I told him to shut up a couple of times and made him wait until I was washed, shaved and breakfasted for his normal 8.00am walk.

After a period to run along Crabbett's Marsh road and relieve himself, I made him sit and stay at each house as I delivered my letter to all of the properties bordering Ropes Hill Dyke. The first job then was to drive across to the other side of Norwich to collect my sewage pump after repair and then the rest of the morning making some plumbing repairs and trying unsuccessfully to find a replacement catch for the storeroom door.

Being such a nice day and wanting to re-acquaint Sam with a dinghy voyage, I mopped out The Jolley and cruised us around Horning where we met a few people we knew and amused even more with the dog on the bow. Bought a nice dressed crab again to complete my salad for lunch and then made the decision to pack up and drive back home in the afternoon. A tiring journey with the sun in my eyes all the while and glad to be back by teatime. Some time with Sam and the girls who were fascinated to see him do his retrieving and jumping tricks.

I had a scare with him this morning when I tried to get him to jump a tall gate only to see him fail and crash into it. Luckily, he was apparently not injured. Time to update my journal this evening and also get reports from the latest canvassing. Our position is decaying slightly but I hope that this weekend's activity will make a positive difference as we deliver a second leaflet and then canvas "Undecideds" from Tuesday onwards.
