It was another bitterly cold morning with a slight frost and much more wind chill as the breeze strengthened from the south-east and thus from central Europe. I was still looking into ways of upgrading my computer performance and, despite having decided to buy a new desk-top workstation, Daniel and I still thought that it would be worthwhile to upgrade the Amstrad RAM from 1MByte to 4MByte. We found a company in St Ives that could do it and we went over there in late afternoon to get the job done and ran the system this evening with Windows etc. It was a chilly walk with Sam this morning and again in the evening, but the rain came overnight and, with it, milder temperatures.

I had asked a reluctant Bill to get out and mow the lawns for the last time this morning and this was just as well. I found time today to update more financial accounts and review the family's investments in savings certificates.
